Jason Durham
Jason Durham has been a fishing guide in the Park Rapids, MN area for over 20 years. He started Go Fish! Guide Service Inc. at the age of 15 and has been educating anglers through seminars, writing, television, radio and hands-on experience ever since. Jason has authored two fishing books, Pro Tactics: Ice Fishing and Pro Tactics: Panfish through Lyon’s Press Books.
Jason Durham’s focus has always been helping other’s learn about angling technique, fish behavior and conservation, which is no wonder since he also holds a Master’s Degree in Education. You see, in addition to fishing, Jason is a Kindergarten teacher in the “Metropolis” of Nevis, MN (population 380). The town has a fishing focus, including the World’s Largest Tiger Muskie, a massive statue in the city park.
“With nearly 100 lakes within a 10-mile radius of our community and 400 bodies of water within a 25-mile radius, there’s a lot of opportunity to catch fish. Whether your goal is walleye, northern pike, muskie, largemouth or smallmouth bass, perch, bluegill, crappie; rainbow, brown and brook trout, there’s a destination available within close proximity”, states Durham.
Jason is available to answer any fishing question you might have by contacting him through his website: go-fish-guides.com. “I’m an open book for anyone and encourage people to get in touch, whether they’re seeking information on technique, places to fish, accommodations for nearby lodging or equipment selection.” You can also contact Jason on Facebook and listen to his weekly fishing reports throughout the winter on the ClamOutdoors.com website.
